Two weeks of Professional Learning will take place in July 2025. Train-the-trainer model will be utilized with the expectation that participants attend as a team and return to their district/school to then train their colleagues. The content areas, grade bands, and participants listed below will be offered.
Districts are assigned to a specific week to allow for the establishment of a District Implementation Team. The District Implementation Team will meet during the allotted district planning time to develop a professional learning implementation plan for the 25-26 school year. District contacts will have access to view its applicants.
Charter and private schools and IHEs may select the week to attend that best fits their Implementation Team.

Participants will compare computer science instruction and technology integration while discussing ways to expand computer science programs within their school or district. ESE | K-5 | Within the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K-5 track, participants will learn how to design engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with AP-AAAS and support students’ foundational academic growth, receive information and resources for the recommendation, selection, and implementation of assistive technologies for students with IEPs, including and specifically for those who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) and visually impaired (VI). Participants will gain tools to foster positive student behaviors, minimize disruptions, and create a structured and supportive learning environment, learn strategies and vital information on collaborative teaching, planning and a variety of approaches for implementing in-class supports, learn about and practice aspects of a 4-step problem solving process that will enable them to examine the sufficiency of Tier 1 instruction for students with disabilities, identify possible barriers to accessing Tier 1, plan subsequent instruction, and monitor students with disabilities’ progress. Through activities, real-world examples, and a focus on practical implementation, this track will empower participants to create a positive and manageable classroom environment where all students can thrive. | Classroom Teachers |
6-8 | Within the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) 6-8 track, participants will learn about and practice aspects of a 4-step problem solving process that will enable them to examine the sufficiency of Tier 1 instruction for students with disabilities, identify possible barriers to accessing Tier 1, plan subsequent instruction, and monitor students with disabilities’ progress. Participants will gain practical strategies to foster meaningful academic outcomes for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities, learn about transition requirements, collaborative teaching and planning, and scheduling strategies to support students with disabilities. The classroom management session will provide tools to foster positive behaviors, minimize classroom disruptions, and create a structured and supportive learning environment. Finally, participants will receive information and resources for the recommendation, selection, and implementation of assistive technologies for students with IEPs, including and specifically for those who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) and visually impaired (VI). | ||

Furthermore, participants will learn about and practice aspects of a 4-step problem solving process that will enable them to examine the sufficiency of Tier 1 instruction for students with disabilities, identify possible barriers to accessing Tier 1, plan subsequent instruction, and monitor students with disabilities’ progress. High school educators will learn how to align instruction to AP-AAAS while preparing students for life beyond graduation. This session will provide strategies for designing standards-based lessons, promoting critical thinking, and addressing postsecondary goals. Resources and best practices for supporting students' academic and transitional success will be emphasized. This track will provide educational stakeholders with best practices for supporting students with disabilities to ensure they have positive post-school outcomes across a variety of settings and equip educators and other staff with practical classroom management techniques tailored to students with disabilities (SWDs) by leveraging the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and insights from the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD). | ||

K-12 | The resiliency education and health education track addresses practical strategies to teach a plethora of required health education instruction topics for Grades K-12. In this track, attendees will be provided with innovative resources which can be utilized to implement standards-based health education that emphasizes building resiliency and encourages students to overcome adversity.
